We are pleased to invite you to the 2025 Engineering Innovation in Health Spring Symposium, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Samuel R. Browd, M.D., Ph.D., founder of Proprio, UW professor of neurological surgery, director of The Sports Institute at UW Medicine, and attending pediatric neurosurgeon at Seattle Children's. Nine interdisciplinary student teams are collaborating with clinical and industry partners to define and address unmet challenges in healthcare. Please join us for an evening of lightning pitches, poster presentations and live demos to see the teams' progress over the past year.

  • Root Sense: Rapid and reliable feedback for ensuring canal cleanliness in root canal procedures (partner affiliations: UW School of Dentistry)
  • VitreaClear: Non-invasive eye floater treatment (partner affiliations: UW Mechanical Engineering)
  • On-Air: Compact, handheld device for quantitative diagnosis of nasal obstruction (partner affiliations: Seattle Children's Hospital)
  • PracIV: High-fidelity intravenous catheter insertion trainer (partner affiliations: CREST)
